“One Kilogram” project
今天在一公斤项目的blog上看到了关于这个项目的英文介绍，很佩服他们的热心和工作的努力，英文翻译得不错。不过有些地方如果换一种表达可能会更清楚一些，我稍作了一些修改，红色的地方是我改过的。
What is the "One Kilogram" Volunteer Project?
The "One Kilogram" is a volunteer project which focuses on improving life quality and education level of children in impoverished areas of China. It is organized by a group of youth who have rich experience as both volunteers and travellers. The project aims to encourage travellers to bring gifts to schools and students in impoverished regions when they travel. It also encourages them to help impoverished children grow up healthily by face-to-face communication,transfering ideas and knowledge ,and developing their abilities.
The "One Kilogram" project devotes itself to developing a nation-wide information platform for travelling donors. Via the platform,travellers can get the information about the schools which are in their routes in advance,send their gifts to the schools or other appointed reception locations,and bring the feedback about the result of donation into the platform which will help more people know about it and participate in it. Meanwhile, in addition to offering material gifts, the "One Kilogram" project organizes various activities to assist impoverished students, such as "I have a dream", "Write a booklist", "Have a lesson for the children"。From both material and spiritual aspects we try our best to help them grow up healthily。
The "One Kilogram" project's mission is to advocate the idea of "public-spirited tourism" which, by innovating project module and integrating resources, provides travellers more convenient and fruitful experience in public-spirited tourism and improves the life and education quality of impoverished children in a sustainable way!

"并且通过与孩子们面对面的交流， 传递观念、知识和能力，促进孩子们的健康成长"这句话在刚翻译时我也翻成“ It also encourages them to help impoverished children grow up healthily by face-to-face communication,transfering ideas and knowledge ,and developing their abilities.”后来拿去给外教校对的时候他帮我改成了“by using face-to-face communication of ideas,knowledge,and abilities. ”，因为在面对面的交流中其实就包含了观念、知识和能力的传递和培养。我自己认为这样翻译更为简洁：） |
